European hotel tipping is modest. One to two euros per bag for porters and one to two euros per night for housekeeping are appreciated at mid-range and upscale properties. In Scandinavia, tips are rarely expected. In Southern and Eastern Europe, small tips for porters and housekeeping are more common.
